Dir: Gustavo Hernandez; 2010; Drama / Horror; Uruguay; Gustavo Alonso, Florencia Colucci; 79 Min.
This Uruguayan horror is based on a true story and has generated some good buzz following a screening at Cannes. It’s a real-time story about a father and daughter who are renovating an old house and the film shows the 79 minutes of terror once the daughter hears a loud noise somewhere outside the house.
I’m always a bit of a sucker for horror films that are ‘based on a true story’ (however loosely) and I’m really interested to see how the ‘one take’ real-time aspect works out.
This one is definitely on my ‘would like to see’ list.
