We’ve got to admit, we know as much about Indonesian cinema as we do about tuning ’57 Chevy. However, the trailer on this film is interesting enough to make me think we could give it a whirl.
There’s a fair amount of buzz on the internet about this film as it scooped first prize at the Puchon International Film Festival, and it’s Director Joko Anwar in particular is being touted as the Tarantino of the Far East. Apparently his last film Kala was a big hit and there’s a lot expected from this film which is adapted from a novel of the same name.
