Once again we’re the wrong people to take advice from here. We chose not to watch EVANGELION 1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE at last year’s Sitges festival and we haven’t seen any of the TV episodes. Some reviews suggest that this film (2.0) was to be more of a stand alone project, workable in its own right, yet I also read that you would be better off having seen 1.0 as the plot/action jumps about on the assumption you already know what’s going on.
Either way, we won’t be bringing the popcorn to this one. We could of course just read the EVAGeeks article (see link below) which appears to recount the film frame by frame.
