I don’t think we’ve seen an Italian film at Sitges before and to be honest I’m not sure how many Italian films I’ve seen full stop. Looking at the trailer this film looks to be beautifully shot but it’s always hard judging a film from a trailer that’s in a foreign language with no subtitles.
However, with lead actress Kseniya Rappoport bagging Best Actress when this was shown at the Venice Film Festival, comparisons to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and pretty much favourable reviews all round I might give this a glance.
