The reason for thinking that PIG might have a chance is that all of Director Adam Mason’s previous films have been shown here, and we even sat pretty close to him and screenwriter Simon Boyes in a cafe at the festival one year without realising it.
I’ve not seen either Blood River or Luster but we did quite enjoy ‘The Devil’s Chair’ when we saw it at Sitges, and after reading this interview it looks an interesting enough concept for us to give it a whirl.
This looks like a totally standard teen slasher movie. Really, the only interesting thing for us is the inclusion of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter, Rumer.
Unfortunately, this isn’t our masterpiece of the same name (which can be found here) but the directorial debut of the writer of Saw IV, V,VI & VII.
It’s got Woody Harrelson in it and the kid from Roger Dodger which is a massive plus. I suspect it might follow ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ quite closely but we’ll probably give it a try.
Massive buzz around this one, I can see this having the same effect on us as The Exorcism Of Emily Rose a few years back.
Yep, you heard it here first, Heartless is definitely playing at Sitges this year.
It’s been out in the UK for quite a while now, but you can read our view on Tom Shankland’s ‘The Children’ here.
A remake of his earlier short film, Paul Solet’s GRACE made a fairly big splash at this year’s Sundance. The trailer certainly looks disturbing enough to be interesting, let’s hope it’s shown early enough in the day that we don’t have to sleep ‘Eric and Ernie-style’ for fear of nightmares.
